Stamping on Tumbled Marble Tiles

Hi, Ladies! This project was really fun and easy to make! I did this like over a month ago with my friend and didn't get a chance to post it here. Since one of our Luv2staMP GROUP member asked about it, I decided to show you how we made these pretty tiles. NO BAKING is involved so get ready ladies.

Just a note, the tiles featured in the steps are in 3 different tiles, in different stages. You can see that the tile cracks are in different places.

First, you use StazOn Black Ink and stamp your image onto the tile. I like to use the Tumbled Marble Tile because it has it's own natural cracks and it does not look like a pre-fabricated or manufactured tile. So this is real marble you're stamping on! It's ok to have skipped lines of your image. It just gives you a distressed piece of art that has been around for ages :)

Secondly, you get to color your image. Use SU! Stampin' Pastels p.154 #105542 to color using blender pens p.192 #102845. Just use the tip of your blender pens and dip onto the chalk and color in! THAT EASY!!!!

To brush on chalk to the edge of your tile and coloring bigger areas, use a cotton ball. Note that I smudged around the tile with red brick brown.

Lastly, you'll need a sealant spray or a protector spray to preserve your painted art! With the spray, the color intensifies and locks in forever! I like the Matte Finish spray, it gives that distress finish look like you've uncovered this piece of art centuries ago..hehe.

Have fun making them!!! It's a nice gift for your friends this Christmas!!!

NOTE: When using the sealant spray, use outside your home so fumes are not inhaled. Follow directions from the can.

I'm curious. Where did you get the tiles? Your local craft store or???

Thanks!

The Tumbled Tile may be bought in any major Hardware store like Home Depot.
